portrait of Jennifer A. Maged, Esq,

I am one of the lawyers who likes to practice law. STRATEGY comes naturally for me, and I like working with business professionals to solve a challenging issue. The more complications, the better.

The details a bio usually contains are below, but in addition you may be interested to know:

My colleagues say I should charge more for my time, and my clients say I am expensive but worth it. I am proud that almost all of my cases come from referrals from my clients. To me, that means I am doing something right.

I have extensive litigation experience. That experience benefits all of my clients, including when drafting their contracts because I have observed how courts interpret and enforce contract terms.

I have served as a mediator in Maryland District Courts. That perspective benefits my litigation clients, and it prepared me to advise my business clients on how to avoid claims against their companies.

I am a Peer Review Member for the Attorney Grievance Commission which governs the mandatory ethics of lawyers. This means I take my job representing clients seriously, and I volunteer my time to make certain all other Maryland lawyers practice responsibly, too.

I have practiced law since 1994. I have practiced in law firms, as general counsel for a nationwide financial services company, and for the Maryland Office of the Attorney General. I graduated from The Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law and from the University of Delaware. I am licensed in MD and DC.

portrait of Heather D. Clark, Esq,

I have represented clients in a wide variety of cases pending in federal and state courts in Maryland and across the country. Over the years, my practice has involved diverse matters from large, complex insurance and products liability cases to smaller commercial disputes and medical malpractice claims. I have practiced in law firms of varying sizes from very large to medium and small ones and have found that the size of the cases may change but the basics remain the same.

I was a law clerk for the Honorable Marvin J. Garbis of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland, which was phenomenal training for a litigator. While in law school, I was a member of the Maryland Law Review and published Balancing Media Access to Juvenile Court Proceedings and the First Amendment Freedom of the Press, 56 Md. L. Rev. 656 (1997).

I have been licensed to practice law in Maryland since 1998 and in the District of Columbia since 2000. I graduated from The University of Maryland Carey School of Law and Bucknell University.

I am a Past President of the University of Maryland Carey School of Law Alumni Association and served on the Board of Directors of the Alumni Association there for seven years. I am a current member of the Maryland State Bar Association.
